What is Fire Rating Compliance?
Fire ratings measure how long a building element (wall, floor, ceiling) can withstand exposure to fire while maintaining its structural integrity and containing the spread of flames and smoke.
All our systems are designed to align with South African National Standards (SANS 10400 Part T), which define safety performance in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Fire ratings are achieved using specific configurations of steel framing, fire-rated gypsum board, insulation, cladding, and sealants.
Fire-Resistant Assemblies for Every Application
We design and supply complete wall and ceiling systems that meet the following fire ratings:
30
Ideal for most standard residential and low-risk commercial spaces
60
Multi-unit housing, schools, healthcare, and light industrial
90-120
High-occupancy areas, data centres, or fire-prone facilities
Tested & Certified Components
-
Fire-rated Gypsum Board (single or double layers)
-
Non-combustible insulation (e.g., mineral wool)
-
Intumescent sealants and joint fillers
-
Steel profiles with low thermal conductivity bridging
-
Cavity barriers and fire stops for multi-storey builds
Passive Fire Protection in LSF
-
LSF won’t burn, warp, or contribute to fire spread
-
Systems are designed with compartmentalisation in mind
-
Compliance can be achieved without compromising design
We only use materials tested by recognised labs and certified for fire performance.
